"parents really were worried that listening to Ozzy and Judas Priest and AC/DC would turn us into devil-worshippers" . . . hah, hah, silly them. On the other hand, the way our society has descended into insanity and perversion, perhaps our parents/grandparents were on to something when they warned against "sex, drugs, and rock 'n roll." I know correlation is not causation . . . but, still.

Ozzy does hurt. My parents would have burned his tapes ritualistically in front of a cross, but that only made me like him more. RIP.

Baby Doll represents a lot of Hollywood people in that circle. He also represents Kimmel, Bill Simmons (even jumps on his podcast), and Jon Stewart.

I'm sure he has been able to leverage higher salaries with repping all 3 hosts.

RIP Ozzy

For the Colbert thing, everything is so weird and contrived. I'm not sure why blaming Trump is convenient for everyone when the facts don't line up, but I can't see how that would benefit Paramount or CBS. I'm not sure what Paramount/CBS's efforts were to set the record straight, but it seems like that would be important because otherwise, why allow your employee to tarnish you like that? It's just weird.

Trump. It's all about Trump. Which is exactly what he wants, yet they keep obliging him.

I’d forgotten about when Kilborn hosted. I hadn’t heard about these circumstances leading to his firing, but I thought the show was great when he hosted. For that matter, I was a big fan of “Short Attention Span Theater” when Jon Stewart was hosting.

I just want someone to tell me when Colbert was funny. I've been on this mudball for 65 years and I don't remember a time when he was ever (intentionally) funny.

I think that was on cable before I had cable. If it's online somewhere I'll take a gander.

Colbert was funny on that show (everyone was funny on that show!), but I always had the impression that Amy Sedaris and Mitch Rouse were the driving forces behind it.
