After a brief moment of temporary sanity, our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters in the press are getting back to the important business of gaslighting us to protect a Democrat president.
Last week, Joe Biden paid his respects to the Marines who died for his incompetence in Afghanistan. He was so respectful, in fact, that he kept glancing at his watch like he had someplace better to be.
Now USA Today has done a fact-check. The fact they checked was the one you just saw with your own eyes. Biden is in trouble and his polls are plummeting, so a major American newspaper is calling his critics liars. His critics happen to include the Gold Star families he insulted.
But here’s the thing, though: It’s not misleading at all. That’s exactly what happened. Biden did what he’s accused of doing. It’s true. There’s proof and everything.
This isn’t a fact-check. It’s some Democrats with press passes doing damage control for the president.
Apparently one of the adults at USA Today realized how bad this looks, but only after allowing this garbage to be published. Now the “fact-check” has been “clarified”:
“This story was updated to note that, uh… the thing we claimed to be false was actually true.”
This is better, but it’s still a lie. The story was “updated” to note the incontrovertible truth that the piece was originally intended to obfuscate, but the “correction” still claims there’s “missing context.” Like what? There’s no missing context. Biden was checking his damn watch as the coffins went by. It’s a simple fact.
The only “context” is that Biden embarrassed himself, his party, and his country. He’s a bad president and an even worse human being.
If the press will lie about something as easy to verify as news footage of a man checking his watch, what won’t they lie about? They’ll even insult Gold Star families at a funeral, just to protect the man whose ineptitude and dishonesty killed those Marines.
The press will say anything they need to say to help their political party hold onto power. They don’t care about the truth, and they don’t care about you.
Biden’s enablers in the press are willing to lie for him, and of course lies are the air he breathes. Here’s one of his latest lies: “I remember spending time at the, you know, going to the, you know, the Tree of Life synagogue [in Pittsburgh, the site of a 2018 mass murder], speaking with them.”
That’s news to the Tree of Life synagogue. They say he’s never visited.
Biden lied about it because that’s just what he does. He lies to get himself out of trouble, as he’s done throughout his debacle in Afghanistan. He lies to ingratiate himself with people he wants to impress, as he did here. He lies just to lie. He enjoys lying, and it’s worked out splendidly for him.
Trump was constantly criticized for his pathological lying, and rightly so. But most of the “journalists” who held Trump’s feet to the fire simply don’t care that Biden is just as bad, if not worse.
And we can add this to his list of sins: Joe Biden doesn’t care about black people.
Stupid people say stupid things, and few people are as stupid as Cenk Uygur.
Biden just surrendered to the Taliban, genius. You need some new talking points.
Oh, and what’s up with calling your offspring “daughter,” Cenk? That’s a little presumptuous, isn’t it? TRANS👏 BOYS👏 ARE👏BOYS👏1
The QAnon Shaman, Jacob Chansley, doesn’t want to be called the QAnon Shaman anymore. Therefore, in honor of his shaved head, I will refer to him as the CueAnon Shaman.
The CueAnon Shaman could spend up to 20 years in prison for his participation in the 1/6 riot. That sounds right to me. There’s no excuse for rioting, anywhere at anytime. And if you riot in the Capitol Building, you should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
“But what about all the other rioters? Why don’t you say anything about them?” Yes, I can hear you whining. I’ve said plenty about them. I hate them. I oppose all rioting, left-wing or right-wing or otherwise, and I will continue to do so. Google it.
And on that topic: Remember the “trans woman” who was walking around a Los Angeles spa with his dick hanging out, triggering weeks of left-wing riots? It turns out that the “trans woman,” one Darren Agee Merager, is a serial sex offender. Antifa rioted for weeks in defense of a convicted pervert.
One additional thing: You don’t have to refer to someone walking around with an erect penis in a women’s spa as “she.” You just don’t. It’s an affront to the English language, to the field of human biology, and to reality itself. This Merager scumbucket is a man, he enjoys exposing his genitals to women and girls, and leftists will literally fight for his right to do so in the name of “tolerance.” You don’t have to enable their delusions. You don’t have to let them control the language, therefore controlling the way you think about these things.
She’s a man, baby.
This Just In: Ed Asner is still dead.
Look out, I’m about to type a few more paragraphs about Marvel stuff!
I still haven’t seen Black Widow, I don’t feel any urgent need to see Shang-Chi, and The Eternals looks absolutely dreadful. You might think this means I hate women and people of color, but in my defense, Marvel started to lose me the moment a privileged white male murdered an unarmed POC:
#LilacLivesMatter.
But I still like Marvel when it doesn’t mean leaving the house. What If…? on Disney+ continues to be fun, and it’s starting to get really weird. This week’s episode features Doctor Strange, most of the cast of the movie was contractually obligated to provide the voices, and it’s really dark and depressing. Nice!
I’ve always liked “imaginary stories” in comics — although as Alan Moore once noted, aren’t they all? — because the writers get to shake up the status quo and really go bonkers with the characters. Anything can happen. Anyone can die. You can dump out the whole toybox and do whatever you want with it, because next month everything goes back to the way it was. I like the idea of it, even if the results aren’t always satisfying.
There’s always been an obsession with continuity and canon in nerddom, whether it’s comics or science fiction or whatever. “Did it really happen, though? Did this story from a Star Wars comic book happen in the same universe as the movies? Please tell me this fantasy world I’m emotionally invested in actually means something!”
The obvious answer, of course, is that none of it really happened. It’s all fiction. Just repeat to yourself: “It’s just a show, I should really just relax.”
But nerds crave order and want everything to have some sort of meaning. Stuff like What If…? shatters that order, at least for the space of a TV episode, and then the narrator pipes up at the end and reminds you that your precious Marvel Cinematic Universe is still intact.
Anyway. Marvel is dumb but I like it, as do millions of others. Shang-Chi looks alright but I’ll wait till it’s on Disney+. If you don’t like Marvel movies, that’s fine too. Please calm down.

Thanks in advance. I really appreciate it, because I know you’re a good person and you wouldn’t just keep reading me all the time without paying me. I’m not selling ads, I’m not selling your personal information, and subscriptions are the only way I can make a living with this newsletter. You’d have to be a real jerk to keep stealing from me, and I know you’re not that kind of person. I mean, you’d really have to be a freeloading bum. Just a no-account cheapskate. A complete burden on society. Which you’re not, right? Right.
Here’s that button again, in case you missed it.
“Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” — Saul Alinsky, Rules for Radicals
The "missing context" is that Joe forgot what time it was as soon as he took his eyes off his watch, so he had to look again.
Looking AT his watch. I changed "checking" in the headline so I didn't have "check" twice in a row, and I forgot the "at."
