Trump Was Right About Hunter Biden's Laptop
The truth is the truth, even from the mouth of a scoundrel
Yesterday the New York Times finally admitted the once-forbidden truth that Hunter Biden did indeed abandon a laptop full of incriminating evidence at a repair shop less than five miles from his father’s home. And today, a lot of libs and lib sympathizers have egg on their faces.
One of the liberals with an eggy expression today is Leslie Stahl of CBS News, who is forevermore on record as having said this:
It’s not true because… it’s not true! She’s not just a pretty face, folks.
Stahl was 100% certain there was no substance to the story about Hunter’s laptop, because she didn’t want to believe it. Trump was saying it, so it must’ve been false. That’s just good journalism right there, Leslie.
If you hate me for refusing to kiss Trump’s ring, you’ll just have to keep on hating me because I’ve never voted for him and I never will. But he was right about this, and pretending he was wrong is dishonest.1
The mainstream media and Silicon Valley lied and suppressed the story of Hunter Biden’s laptop because they knew it would hurt his father’s chances in the election. They wanted Trump out of office more than they wanted the truth. They won’t admit it because they’re dishonest, but they can’t stop us from reminding them.2
Trump got this one right, guys. You’re not helping anybody by denying it. You’re only preserving your precarious place in the media ecosystem.
And we see you.
By the way: I didn’t take the computer repair shop story at face value. It was simply the most plausible explanation based on the evidence. Especially considering the only alternative theory: Vladimir Putin planted a deep-cover agent in a Wilmington repair shop when it opened in 2010, patiently waiting year after year for Hunter Biden to finally walk in.
But then, the Biden crime family now relies on Putin as a convenient boogeyman for all their problems, after dismissing him as a threat during the 2012 election.
Good point, Joe. Back in ‘56, nobody even had laptops!
Dear Democrats:
Please listen to this man.
Signed,
The Republicans
HBO just dropped this four-episode miniseries, in which Rosario Dawson must escape from a future New York after it’s been walled off from the rest of the world. And they say Hollywood has run out of ideas!
Seriously though, I watched the first episode and it’s a lot better than the previous attempt to adapt a DC Vertigo comic, Y: The Last Man. (But then, I’ve had dental surgeries that were better than Y: The Last Man.) There’s some janky CGI, particularly the “wild animals” scattered about. But it’s well-acted and well-paced, and Dawson is always good. She’s a crazy lib IRL, but she’s a talented actor.
DMZ is based on a comic book by a guy named Brian Wood, who got caught up in some #MeToo stuff years before there was such a thing as #MeToo. You can google the details if you want, but in my opinion he got a raw deal. I’m glad to see his success.
There’s been a lot of talk lately about men competing in women’s sports, but nobody will ever be better at it than actor, comedian, and champion athlete Andy Kaufman. Back in the ‘80s he was the Intergender Wrestling Champion of the World, and he really earned that title he created for himself:
Kaufman was a “heel,” meaning a bad guy, and wrestling crowds gave him a lot of “heat,” meaning they booed him and wanted him dead.3 And he was such a despicable villain because he only wrestled women. He used his biological advantages over them physically, and then strutted around like he’d really done something great. He couldn’t compete against the boys, so he picked on the girls and then waved his “victories” in their faces. It was fundamentally wrong, and the fans knew it instinctively.
When your job is to make people despise you, that’s how you get it done.
Good work, Lia Thomas!
TGIF, and thanks for reading my newsletter. I allowed you to read this whole thing today even if you’re not paying me, because I’m nice like that. But I need you to please subscribe now, because this newsletter is how I make my living. To paraphrase a wise man: “If you’re good at something, sometimes do it for free and then bug people for money.”
A lot of people I used to respect have abandoned any principles they pretended to have, merely because they don’t want people to think they like Trump. They now claim anything Trump says is false because he’s the one saying it. That’s the case sometimes, but not always. The truth is the truth, even from the mouth of a scoundrel.
They hate him so much that now they act just like him. I don’t applaud Trump’s behavior, so why would I applaud his staunchest foes for emulating it?
Yet.
By the way, that wrestling promo was filmed in Jerry Lawler’s backyard. Their feud was amazing. They even made it to Letterman!
The Lawler-Kaufman fued is the absolute pinnacle of pro wrestling. The Saturday morning Memphis wrestling show in the early 80s was pulling 70 shares of the viewing audience. Absolutely unprecedented.
"And today, a lot of libs and lib sympathizers have egg on their faces. " Maybe, but they're wearing it like a badge of honor.
