Definitely, the Russian people are caught up in this thing too. Some of the steps taken to excommunicate Russia from the international economy will backfire spectacularly and hurt people that otherwise should be natural allies in affecting change. At the same time there are gobs of people in Russia that seem fine with the, "it doesn't affect me, why should I care" attitude. Those people are being made to care. At some point, this war will be at an end and the question of what happens afterward, is reconciliation possible... none of that is clear at this point.
Your recommendations on TV: Marvel's What If (I'm on Ep. 6), Reacher, Barry have been terrific. I'm not watching any PC show (of course the vampires are white and only the latest "Noble Savage" can defeat them) though.
Jim, if you've never seen it, the 1984 film 'The Bounty' is an outstanding telling of the mutiny and how the mutineers ended up on Pitcairn Island. Anthony Hopkins is sublime as Captain Bligh.
Trump revved up energy production which allowed for one of the fastest growing economies on record. Families like mine saw pay increases for the first time since 2008. He also managed to keep Putin in check and avoid war in the Middle East, all while the media was constantly talking about how he had just started WWIII.
His Supreme Court picks alone make him a better president than Obama.
You don’t have to like the guy to know he did a better job than his predecessor when it came to lives of regular people.
There seems to be some sort of issue that no one is allowed to acknowledge that even with his glaring flaws, Trump did a better job for non-"elite" Americans than anyone else in the last 30 years or so. Trump wasn't my guy during the 2016 primaries and I figured he'd govern like Clinton-lite, but he actually did put America first which seems to be a hard concept for the Uni-party to accept.
I am older than our gracious host, and I cannot say that every president in my lifetime has been worse than the one before. But I can say that, for the past 55 years or so, I have been reliably informed by EXTREMELY PASSIONATE people that whoever happened to be president at that particular moment was, in fact, the worst of all time. It's been quite the remarkable streak.

"Damn. Where do they think they are, Canada?" ought to be the line of the day.
I'm glad you posted about Russians speaking out when it takes courage to do so.

Danny: I've got to go to college.
Ty: You don't have to got to college. This isn't Russia... Is this Russia?
Danny: *shakes head* No
Ty: This isn't Russia, is it.

Mel Gibson isn’t bad either.
Come on man!
