Substack is great.

Valenti's tweet pair was classic Jessica Velenti. Thanks for taking one for the team, Jim, and screening it for us.

My eye started twitching even before the Vicodin tweet bc I knew some super self-unaware statement was about to drop. Only two days. *smdh*

PS: there's a Pat Zajak tweet out there where he facetiously asks why we peons don't just think what them celebrities tell us to think anymore. Something to the effect of "you picked us for a reason"

"I'm not a real human, but I play one on TV."

I loved that post. There a funny twitter feed called "Libs posting the Ls" (or something) that does a great visual juxtaposition of ridiculous liberal hypocrisy (or lack of self-awareness - choose 1 or both).

Two things:

1) "But lies get more clicks, and libs love clicks." Libs also seem to really love them some lies!

2) I will scour the news to see what serious and helpful actions the tough-talking actor (who looks like someone who tough people would not take terribly seriously) will take against whoever set that mystery fire. Now that he has hit TikTok, I expect him to start a hashtag or something...

Waiting for the inevitable People magazine (those folks who killed Betty White) headline: "Celebrities! They're just like us! Taking on the KKK in small Southern towns!"

Another reason to dislike the Bidens (as if we needed more) - the ONLY breed of cat fit for the WH is a Maine Coon. That shorthair looks as though she just strolled in off the street (although she wears a commendable "this place belongs to me" expression).

"First Neil Young quit Spotify over Joe Rogan, then Barry Manilow did the same, and now Peter Frampton is applauding it. This whole thing is really big news in 1978.

Has Bill Hailey weighed in on this yet? Stephen Foster? Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart?"

I think it's high time that Jim start a "What do ancient recording artists think about Joe Rogan?" tracker - a regular feature ala the "Biden abandoning Americans in Afghanistan" Day Count. (Perhaps he could feature a clip from each artist to help us familiarize ourselves with this rando whose opinion on free speech we should care about! Very helpful!)

Jim - what happened to the tip jar? You put it on the post and I tipped you. Was that NOT how you hoped it would work? (I think you're missing something in this whole "try things out to see if they work" approach!)

I don't see the tip jar (or the buy Jim coffee button) anymore. Am I missing something?

Gotcha - if you have the ability to change the name of the button to make it more intuitive, that's my recommendation. "Buy Jim a Coffee" or "Give Jim a Tip" - that will be easier for people to understand who don't know what "Support Jim on Ko-fi" means. But my caveman brain will adjust in the future and translate it into "Hook a brother up".

Cute cat. Here's hoping that the indominable cat personality resists being ruined like they did to their poor dog. Poor Evangeline Lilly. If she had shown up to an infanticide rally she would have been lauded for her "my body my choice" stance.

In a feud it is generally a good idea to sit back and eat the popcorn, taking a side is usually quite messy and sometimes fatal.
