Scary Poppins blocking you is a kind of badge of honor. But in principle I don't think you should have "apartheid" in the town square. She should be able to block hearing your commentary but should not be able to block you hearing what she as an (almost) public official is saying. Politicians shouldn't be able to block the public from hearing what they are saying, even if they choose to ignore the moaning masses of peasants they supposedly serve.
Upvote for Scary Poppins. I disagree somewhat, I don’t trust the government to block anything. Too many times in my lifetime the government has been the perpetrator of disinformation. I love my country but not the fools that run it.
Severance is great! The Husband likes a mystery that he doesn't actively have to solve and I like throwing out my best guesses as the story progresses, we were both happy. It's completely bonkers at the end of the season but dang do they earn every bit of the craziness. The whole cast does a great job but Adam Scott and John Turturro really do so much subtly. I even came to love Mark's wacky self help brother in law. Can't wait for season 2.
It's on Apple TV. Starts out with low grade menace punctuated with humor, then ratchets up the menace and adds crazy until the humor is your only lifeline to normalcy.
I work in I.T. for a largish school district in Oregon. I move around from school to school. I am telling you: every single school has a "hardened" single entry, where you need to show ID before someone buzzes you through. Every one; elementary, middle and high school. Been that way for a while now, they retrofitted every school in the last five years. To say it can't be done is just plain dumb.
I read recently that Nina Jankowitz (I don't know if I'm spelling that right or not and don't care to look it up) said that her Ministry of Truth could have prevented Uvalde. I'm sure the shooter would have been persuaded by a jaunty number about not flat blasting kiddos. But what do I know? I'm a duck, I'm on a bike, I ride here and there. speaking of, how about Jai Hindley in the Giro over the weekend? Big win for the Aussies.
I also read that David Hogg thinks a good reasons to ban the AR-15 model is because the police in Uvalde were so scared to go against it. Umm, hate to break it to you champ, but the cowardice angle is not gonna work here.
Good guy with a gun usually stops a bad guy with a gun every time, but pasty faced coward pissing his pants behind a car usually doesn't. We respect cops because they will stand there and take a bullet when asked... That's just my take on things.
Hardly any door propped open will lead to a gunman entering the building. Possible but statistically unlikely.
Hardly any trans person will end up letting their self-delusion lead them to violence. Possible but statistically unlikely.
Hardly any gun owner will end up using it in a crime. Possible but statistically unlikely.
Pretty much every person who's every posted a bag of dead cats on their social media page have turned out to be sociopaths. It is statistically impossible for it to be otherwise.

This sounds cool and I'd never even heard of it.
I like Ben Stiller and John Torturro has had some really great roles.

Cruelty to animals is the single best indicator of sociopathy.
