Are you sure about that? The "shout your abortion" types are indistinguishable from child sacrificers.

My father's impression as a Marine in WWII fighting his way through the South Pacific: "If everything on the island was spotless and half the island was in jail, it was a German colony. If it was filthy and 25% of the population, was in jail, and the rest were pretty corrupt, it was a French colony. If it was pretty normal and hardly anyone was in jail and everyone looked like a native, it was Dutch. If it was very clean and only a few real criminals were in jail, and there relatively non-corrupt, it was British."

I'm sure he was exaggerating for effect, but his point was very clear on the cultural situations.

After the MacGyver and Magnum reboots, I have no great hopes for this.

LOL! In 2022 we have the ability to create time travel, but we can't provide enough electricity to people, or provide enough baby formula for new mothers. Although I did chuckle at the main character's inability to drive a stick shift.

I was dying to refer to al Baghdadi's "austere religious scholar" obituary in the WaPo. Thank you for doing it!

I've known hillbilly shysters (they do exist) from my home area with lots more class than either the Kennedy or Obama families. And let's not get started with the Biden family.

We eschew royalty officially and anecdotally but we've always been looking for our own royals.

We don't need a Line of Kings. I'd settle for just a regular ol' president who remembers that he's not of that Line and just faithfully executes the laws of the land.

It doesn't feel like it's much but it's sure been hard to find that person.

“For no matter how silly the idea of having a queen might be to us, as Americans, we must be gracious and considerate hosts.” And then a bunch of potty noises.

I knew even before clicking that Frank was going to the men's room. Gawd I love that!

All the hate to the late Queen. The thing is, they are conflating her with the worst of the former empire, which she had nothing to do with. Besides, aren't these people all about "decolonizing?" No one did more to decolonize than she did. She literally did nothing but decolonize for the majority of her reign. She's the "decolonizer" in chief. The top line item on her end of life resume is overseeing the slow and gradual decline of the former Empire. But, no. These Very Online Twitter users think QE2 and see Queen Victoria.

That AOC quote is so AOC. Using biggish words that don't really say anything. In her little head, I'm sure it made sense. Like you said, "Targeting Diminishment" means what? Also, don't bitch about your party doing you dirty, name some names sugar tits. Lets go!

I dunno, maybe just don't listen to this duck on a bike fella, since he's a certified ding-dong. Today is a tough day for this one, just finding it hard to hit the switch. But, some days you just gotta grind. Today, it's a grind.

It's like virtue signaling. You don't have to pay a price for pretending to be more principled than your unnamed detractors.

But more than that: We're constantly being told about how systemic racism is holding people back and, yet, the institutions they name - academia, corporate technology, media, the arts, almost every urban and many not-quite-so-urban Burgs - are all controlled by Democrats.

So, Sandy - are the Racist Targeting Diminishers in the room with us right now?

QEII was last person alive who had a price put on her head by Hitler. How many of the Antifa fascists hating on her can say a real fascist targeted them with his whole air force?

The people that use the death of someone famous to then rail about their own political positions or rants are among the lowest of the lifeforms available. For F's sake, there's enough time for you to be a slimeball if you just wait a few days after people have had the chance to mourn and pay their respects. Get ready for more instant horribleness when Big Orange Man kicks the bucket. Also, does the world really need a Quantum Leap reboot/update? The original series ended in 1993, so are creators looking to see what happened in time since the 1990s to see what they can fix? My first suggestion would be to track down the creators of Twitter and Facebook and tell them to find something more productive to do with their time.

People hate the Queen because they're idiots. Wait, I can say it better. They are all part of a "present-tense" culture, so they know nothing of the past, nor of virtues. The Queen was selfless, dedicated to serving her people, possessed of self-discipline and integrity. During the Blitz, the Royal Family stayed throughout. Then-Princess Elizabeth worked as a truck driver and mechanic for the Women's Auxiliary Territorial Service.

The murder by a Democrat politician represents something larger: the notion that one is right whatever one does.

"Targeting diminishment" sounds like a bad weight-loss class. AOC actually said, "I can't even tell you if I'm going to be alive in September." If you call that living. She's like the Kardashians: famous for being famous. Or something.

The BYU "non-scandal" of Rachel Richardson--yet ANOTHER racial hoax!--deserves condemnation. It won't be coming either. Set it on the shelf alongside Sandmann and Smollett. Next to the NV Democrat Telles (D-Murderer). BTW, Telles was appointed to the State Board of Indigent Services by the Dem governor.

Have a good weekend.

The dumb thing about the NYT piece on her death as that only in the current year would they do that. If she died 10 years ago it would have been the standard praise for a passing head of state that they typically give everyone else.

I never got into Quantum Leap but was a total Brisco County Jr. fanatic.

Bruce Campbell rocked that role and John Bly was the best villain ever.

Did we ever get to solve the mystery of the orb? I’d just about kill to see that series from beginning to end again.
