Great footnote, always good advice.

I watched it all. It was worse than a slow motion train wreck. And Trump would probably have done fine if after the first break he had just laid off Biden and let him self-destruct. Be he couldn't The scorpion has a nature, after all.

Anyway, it won't be simple to move Joe (let alone Jill) off the ticket, and I think that will lead to some vicious infighting, but they'll do it. Are any of the names floated any better, policy-wise? Nope. Some are perhaps even worse. Although I don't hear anyone calling for Bernie.

If they can persuade Joe to step aside, which is doubtful, it has to go to Kamala. To state the obvious she’s Black, she’s female, and she’s VP. Blacks and women are the core of the Democratic electorate so if they’re offended, and they will be if Kamala is pushed aside, the election is lost anyway.

But Kamala is a terrible, terrible candidate. If they do go with her, again the election is lost anyway.

So they’ll stay with Joe and pray for a miracle.

You may be right. The smart thing to do would probably be to run Kamala and take the loss. But our politicians aren't noticeably smart when it comes to dividing up the power.

And after last night the GOP House has no reason to help either Joe or Kamala do anything for the next half year.

That is their only plan. Stick with Biden and hope against hope more Lawfare will sour voters on Trump but I think that is all hopium at this point. More politically motivated, political legal persecution only makes Trump more popular.

The bar was set very, very low for both of these guys but Trump clearly won and dialed it back for the first time. He let Biden implode for the most part. And to think all this talk about Biden taking "super juice"and would whip his weight in wild cats in a debate was all demented over thinking.

The dems are stuck with Biden. They can't swap him out for anything that will help them win in November. Trump is a clown but I will take that over the democratic clown show we have seen the last 4 years. To paraphrase Lincoln "A live dog is better than a dead lion or an old and toothless one"

Wait, I'm confused - so Trump DIDN'T make Joe's day?

After all the fuss over releasing the recording of Special Counsel Hur's interview with Joe Bidem it was awfully sporting of the President to do a live re-enactment of it on Thursday night.
