There are some things about the second Trump administration I’ve liked so far, and some things I’ve disliked. I try to call balls and strikes, which I believe is a football metaphor.1 Good Trump and Bad Trump.
In the Good Trump category, #1 is that America is finally enforcing our own immigration laws. The Biden administration allowed and even encouraged a flood of illegal aliens, but now those days are over.
“But people aren’t illegal!” cry the libs. Well, nobody’s saying the people are illegal. They’re breaking the law. Which is… illegal. That’s what the word means, and that’s why Democrats avoid using it at all costs. (Although Biden himself slipped up more than once.)
“But what about the undocumented immigrants who haven’t broken the law?” Journalists are actually saying that now, because nobody with an IQ above room temperature is allowed in a newsroom.
If I decide I want to go live in another county, anywhere else in the world, they’ll expect me to obey their laws. First and foremost, I can’t live there unless they allow it. I’ll be expected to jump through their hoops and fill out their forms and, if necessary, learn their incomprehensible jabber.
That’s called civilization.
This, on the other hand, is something entirely different:
