It's true. He was a lot funnier than Chevy Chase.

Norm's Thanksgiving call-in to Dennis Miller's radio show where he lists off what he is thankful for is maybe my favorite bit of all time. "I can't remember his name, but I think he had a mustache".

Well, either that bit or his attempts to sell the ManGrate on his podcast. That shit is gold. Larry King trying to correct his pronounciation of "iron" is too good.

One more random Norm memory: as a teenager, I was forced to attend Wednesday night church youth group, which I hated, but as soon as I got home, I went right up to my room to watch "The Norm Show", which was on as soon we got home. Just kind of an interesting juxtaposition there. "The Norm Show" I think was the first time I ever heard the word "blumpkin". Can't believe they managed to get that on network TV.

I didn't appreciate his comedy until I was older, but once I "got it" I couldn't get enough of him. I am genuinely saddened by his death. RIP
