My first car was a 1974 Mercury Comet - bright orange. Orange interior, headliner, seats, dash, steering wheel. The only thing not orange was the has pad, and the carpet, both black. Factory 302 V8. It was delightfully obnoxious. I'm glad to see a Comet in film, continuing that wonderful 70s obnoxious trend.
What you wrote about the NYC assault took courage. I hate to say it, but your retelling puts the assault in context. I actually had not heard of the incident. BTW, apparently the women WERE let into the restaurant and it was only when three male friends without proof of vaccination tried to join them did things get violent. Naturally a BLM "activist" intends to picket the restaurant for following the law.
It was only a matter of time that these two narratives would converge. Those of us who have been "following the data" or "following the math" saw that a higher percentage of the unvaccinated were either african-american or hispanic (at least compared to the percentages of whites and Asians). Yes, there are a lot of people of all races that are unvaccinated, but it's slightly more than likely that the unvaxxed are in those first two groups. Which makes the enforcement of "vax card or you can't dine here" policies even more troublesome. If BLM really wanted to make a stink they'd protest out in front of City Hall, but you know they won't. Let's see how long these policies continue...

Dave Burge's IowaHawkBlog stuff is pretty damn funny, whether cars get in there or not!
Live long and let the force be with you.
"This must be that “equity” thing I keep hearing about…"
Notice nobody is clamoring for only straight actors to play straight roles.

In the Brent Spiner/Mark Hamil square-off, I'm pickin' Adam Baldwin. His big brother Alec will jack you up.
"just like Star Trek is better than Star Wars."
This is why I give you $5 a month.
