The past decade has driven everyone insane. So insane, in fact, that Tesla dealerships are getting torched at the same time a SpaceX crew rescues astronauts who’ve been stranded in space for the better part of a year.
If you’re a Democrat in good standing, the vandalism is good because Elon Musk is bad. And the dramatic space rescue isn’t a big deal because Elon Musk is bad. To progressives, the equation is simple: Musk = Trump = Hitler.
Yesterday alone, vandals struck a Tesla center in Las Vegas:
And one in Kansas City:
There’s even a website called Dogequest, with an interactive nationwide map that allows budding terrorists to track down Tesla dealerships and even individual Tesla owners.
The proprietors of the site claim their intent isn’t malicious, which must be why the map cursor is a Molotov cocktail.
If you’re a Tesla owner and your private information is on Dogequest, they’ll take it down… if you can prove you’ve sold the car. That sure sounds like extortion.
Call me old-fashioned, but destroying other people’s property is wrong, even if you’re angry about losing an election and you think a billionaire is a jerk.
I’m starting to wonder if Democrats really care about saving the environment. Apparently the fate of the planet isn’t as important as keeping a guy they don’t like from making more money.
You know who loves all this? Tim Walz. He’s so happy about it, he even tweeted out this video:
Walz didn’t get to be vice president of the United States, so now he’s celebrating vandalism against an American company. Hey, if Musk is going to fire a bunch of useless bureaucrats, why shouldn’t people who actually build things for a living suffer as well?
I have some problems with Musk, mainly the way he runs Twitter.1 And it’s fair to criticize his role in the Trump administration. But that doesn’t justify violence against him or his companies.
Musk himself will be fine. He’s not about to go hungry anytime soon. But if you condone this terrorism — and that’s precisely what this is, the systematic use of terror as a means of coercion — your soul is bankrupt.
No wonder you’re a Democrat.
Streaming pick: New Life on Hulu.
This popped up on Hulu recently, and I checked it out on the strength of the trailer. Wow, am I glad I did. With just a handful of actors on an obviously low budget, first-time writer/director John Rosman crafts a clever, propulsive, thoughtful little bio-thriller. This guy knows how to pack a lot of story into 90 minutes, with distinctively drawn characters who aren’t just gore fodder.
Plus, Sonya Walger is never not good. Remember “NOT PENNY’S BOAT”? Those were the days.
For one thing, he insists on calling it something other than Twitter. And he keeps making his own app less useful, removing features that he doesn’t like for whatever reason. Disabling embedded tweets on Substack, deboosting links to anything outside Twitter so nobody can see them, etc. Maybe it’s all the ketamine? At least he’s good at rockets and cars.
If fire bombing private property and encouraging others to do so isn't domestic terrorism then I don't know what is.
Advertising people's addresses is despicable and a threat to their homes and personal safety. The depravity of what the people hiding behind this website is astounding. I saw a tape of Barak Obama sitting in the White House talking about getting rid of nonsensical programs that were wasting taxpayers' money on NewsMax the other night. Nothing was ever done. In fact, spending exploded.
Now we have a team in place that is digging us out from under and getting the job done. The political opposition's answer is to hunt down private citizens (who probably voted democrat) and destroy their property or burn down a private business? At what point does the FBI and other high level enforcement agencies get involved and hunt them down? The threat to democracy is the anarchy they they are fomenting not getting rid of the grift from government.
Has anyone else noticed the irony that although the Dems are the ones screaming "Nazis!" they are they are the ones setting the fires? Hmmm...
