"Four days without JT's salty take on this modern world and our sick and rapidly declining society will be difficult, but even HE deserves holidays like the ones enjoyed by everyone else."

I'm with Lillia. Take Th and Fr off unless Biden falls into the Turducken. You've earned it.

I'm praying that Joe has a deep fried Turkey this year, and he bends forward to smell some youngling and ... well, I don't want to say bad things about my elders, especially around the holiday seas...

I'M PRAYING HE FALLS IN THE FRYER!

Sorry, couldn't resist and I couldn't hold back my inner angst.

Lillia's much sweeter than I but sure, whatever, take off Thu and Fri. That's what Leave Time is for.

And I'll keep an eye out for your Leave Slip and we'll get that thang approved on the quick.

You're welcome.

"She doesn't strike me as the type (the type being down to earth and having to find a way to manage her hair without spending thousands and living at the hair stylists or in front of a mirror)."

I can honestly say that, almost no end-product is worth the wait and drama and ... daintiness ?? that that entails.

-- Give me that Girl with her hair all a mess

-- That's the girl I like best

-- Without a trace of makeup on

-- Barefoot in the kitchen

-- Singing her favorite song

-- Give me that Girl

...

Sorry. Too much? I just like it simple sometimes. It's been a long, hard week and I've missed you people.

That's so good to know.

Took me a while to find that girl. But I did. And it is good.

Oh - and everything is fine. I just had a project this week ate up a lot of time in the middle of busy season in the middle of another project.

Better now. Stepson has Homecoming tonight. Mrs. Pi and I will drop him off then be dining at Original The Melting Pot in Greater Downtown Townson, MD whose specialty is fondue. They work it into some courses and there's a la carte as well. Yum. My.

Towson is the home of Towson University whose proud-ish alums include yours truly, Amy Schumer, and Brian Stelter. It could be wor... No. It's pretty bad.

I noticed that no one on Twitter, or the news, mentioned how Nancy Pelosi leveraged her insider knowledge to amass a fortune of $200M. Huh. Funny how that is an overlooked detail. I can not tell you how obscene the Very Online of the Twitterati were in trying to out do each other with effusive praise for Nan. A veritable tournament to see who could shove their head up her ass the farthest.

Well, we might not have have ol' Nan to kick around anymore, but we will see plenty of her nephew, Gavin, over the next few years. I sense that turd has a hankering for the DC life.

I have a feeling that those who will most be missing Nancy will be the purveyors of liquor and other fine spirits. I hope they can recover from the loss of business.

Anyways, I'ma grumpy duck because it's been hella cold here on my pond. Screw Nancy, she fleeced this nation and everyone treats her like a saint.

Isn't it a constant source of amazement how people in "public service," dedicating their lives to help the little people, invariably wind up getting rich?

Expand full comment

Not just that, but how many of the mid-to-lower ranking members of the public service 'team' get locked into quite tidy pensions and perks. Although I'm thinking that may not be as locked-in as the prospective recipients think.

If only we had a journalism corp that was interested in this phenomena. Would be nice if they investigated it. Would. Be. Nice.

Well, I'm no longer 15 hours into the future!

In any event, Nancy is staying on a bit, just not as Speaker, so she's not hitting the bricks yet. Besides, no bricks to hit yet with $$$millions and freezers that cost about an EV.

"Maybe he should try some gingko biloba." Excellent. I read an interesting column this a.m. about "Quality" Candidates, and how that doesn't apply to Dems in the Wash. Examiner by Christopher Tremoglie: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/why-are-democrats-able-to-win-elections-with-poor-candidates

It explains how the Dems get to elect a senile Joe Biden and brain-damaged Uncle Festerman.

Thanks to Martin Short, I simply cannot say "ginkgo biloba" in anything other than the Jiminy Glick pronunciation. I'm surprisingly fine with this curse.

As for Pelosi, I hope she stays active backstage, making life miserable for whoever replaces her. And what about the two old cismale geezers on her "leadership team"? Are they abandoning ship, too?

Assuming the new Minority Leader is Hakeem Jeffries, does anyone know if he has the juice to handle the even more radical Members? And will he crack down on females (I'm not a biologist, and I'm really not sure about Tlaib) on the crazy Left?
