It means she has decided to remain a helpless toddler her entire life, and wants the rest of us to be prevented from growing up as well. Her worldview and politics are centered on the idea that the Federal government is our mommy and daddy and we should never be responsible for doing anything towards our own livelihoods and upkeep. Hence the view that the filibuster is why big cities in the Northeast continually flood and why FEMA is why her abuela lives in squalor (at least for the purposes of AOC's propaganda). Only the Federal government can do anything about anyone's problems and needs, and no one should do anything that proves localities or - Heavens forfend! - individuals can get things done faster, better, and cheaper.
All of your posts seem too short, perhaps because I enjoy them so much. Not as meaty or dense as Greenwood’s or Taibbi’s (to which I also subscribe and highly recommend), but light and airy and just as satisfying. Have you thought of writing a book, like Labash?
