What a week I picked to take a vacation from the internet!

When I sent out the previous edition of this newsletter, Israel had just struck back at Iran. A little over a week later, the US has already stepped in to sweep things up. Iran’s nuclear program is either destroyed completely or set back decades, depending on who you believe.

Being neither a Democrat nor a Trump cheerleader, I’m okay with this development. It would be nice if the mullahs stopped trying to kill us of their own volition, but sometimes they need a little push.

If you’re angry that the guys who chant “Death to America” can’t build nukes now, I can only wish you luck with that.

The Iran hostage crisis in 1979 was the first big international news story I can remember, and I’m still kinda ticked off about it. America has been paying for Jimmy Carter’s weakness ever since. I never thought I’d see this moment in my lifetime, so my hat is off to President Trump.

Only Nixon could go to China, and only Trump could stop Iranian nukes.

“But now Iran will just find another way to attack us!” That’s up to them. If they do, I’m glad it won’t involve nuclear weapons.

“But he didn’t have congressional approval!” True. Neither did Biden, or Obama, or Bush — either one — or Clinton. Congress abdicated that responsibility a long time ago. Take it up with them.

Looks like 10/7 was a bad idea after all, huh?
