I don't know Mr. Barber (as a columnist), but he cites Randy Shilts, whose "And the Band Played On" was a classic. It appears that Mr. Milk was/is not a "gay hero," but a predator of underaged kids.
Also, to Jim: I have never seen Yellowstone. I've just ordered Season 1 from the library.
The bigger problem with kids facing off against their parents is not going to be Elmo, Big Bird or Grover, since most of those kids aren't going to be on Twitter following these stupid tweets. Rather, it will be the pressure that their school teachers put on them, like, "Go home and tell your parents how important the COVID-19 vaccine is..." and things like that (for the record, I'm vaccinated and all 3 of my aged 12+ kids are too)
