While the Chinese mock us (sorry for not using slave labor, guys) the reality is, and the numbers don't lie on these work statistics, that the American workforce works more hours and is more productive than most of Europe, Asia, and many countries on Earth. There's a reason our GDP is the largest (and no, not because we stole it or whatever pinko tankies say).
The worst of the AI video slop are those Facebook ones of food turning into animals or food eating food - some of that is just pure nightmare fuel
It's a catch-all phrase for the type of garbage that shows up on the internet once the public gets their hands on something and says, "me too, look at what I 'made'!"
I agree that I don't spot it easily, perhaps because I watch very little TV or videos at all. But if I pay attention for even a brief time the artificiality leaps out at me. But it will probably get better. And of course it will put people out of jobs, except for those who can quickly direct AI well to a finished product of quality.
As for is art next, art as we currently know it is worse than Sturgeons Law. 99% of it is crap. I kind of expect good human made art will survive. There needs to some identifier, but I bet that will happen.
I'm just not sure if AI slop is any worse than human slop. I admit that AI slop is faster and easier to generate, and will likely dominate the slop market, but human slop has for the most part driven human quality out of the market anyway.

"Slop." I don't get that word.

I know. It's overused at this point. I just don't see how it applies.

Have a great weekend.
I just assume everything is AI or ChatGTP now and am startled when I realize something is real!
While I agree that the examples of AI videos are poor, I also recall the vast majority of 80s and 90s music videos were also terrible.
Yeah, but they were actual humans!
