There’s a fellow named Ta-Nehisi Coates who writes comic books for Marvel, including such titles as Black Panther and Captain America.
Coates also once wrote, regarding the first responders on 9/11: “They were not human to me. Black, white, or whatever, they were menaces of nature; they were the fire, the comet, the storm, which could — with no justification — shatter my body.”
Yes, that’s what firefighters do. They shatter the bodies of black people. Everybody knows that.
Coates is, of course, a liberal darling. That’s why I prefer to call him Tennessee Coates, because it’s disrespectful.
Now Tennessee has written a book about Israel, or as he prefers, “Palestine.” If you’ve followed his career, you won’t be surprised to learn he’s not a big fan of the Jews.
When he went on CBS Mornings last week to promote the book, co-host Tony Dokoupil had some questions. That’s what journalists are supposed to do, right? Ask questions?
