The Uvalde Cops Are Not Good Guys

That's not what the word "good" means

My position on police reform hasn’t changed over the years: The only thing worse than cops is no cops.

But giving somebody a badge and gun doesn’t necessarily make him a good guy. When a police officer fails or refuses to do his sworn duty, there must be consequences. We need people to enforce our laws, so maintaining the thin blue line means there can’t be a blue wall of silence.

I still believe that, but the situation in Uvalde, Texas is infuriating. Just look at these cowards:
