It’s Wednesday, February 11, 2026. I’m allegedly Jim Treacher, and I just realized we’re coming up on a Friday the 13th.
Which is just another day for me. Luck has not really been a thing for me lately.
Well, there’s been another school shooting, unfortunately. This time it’s in Canada, which is new. And the suspect is a trans person, which is not new at this point.
Audrey Hale.
Tyler Robinson. (He’s not trans, but his boyfriend Lance Twiggs is.)
Robin Westman in Minneapolis. (That story went away in a hurry, didn’t it? That was just a few months ago.)
And now 17-year-old Jesse Strang of Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, who started identifying as a girl a few years ago and is now dead after killing 10 and injuring 25 more.
And the Royal Canadian Mounted Police are referring to this kid as a “gunperson.”
