America has always had a love/hate relationship with Canada. They love to hate us, and we don’t really care, because… well, what are they gonna do about it? Bombard us with all-dressed chips?

I don’t tend to think about Frozen Mexico unless there’s a new season of Letterkenny or Shoresy on Hulu. But one news item jumps out at me this week because it’s incredibly stupid and totalitarian, even for Canada.

The cops in Quebec are telling citizens not to post surveillance video of thieves stealing stuff from their porches. Can you guess why?
