To Americans, countries like Canada and Australia seem kinda cute. They speak English, sort of, and they’ve got all of their own brands and slang and TV shows and pop stars and everything. It’s adorable. Sure, technically they’re first-world countries, but we don’t really take them seriously because… well, why would we?

One reason we should take them seriously is because hideous, murderous ideologies can infect those societies just as easily as ours, which is bad for everybody.
