Gun-Free Zones Make Life Safer... for Criminals
They don't need to worry about anybody shooting back
Letitia James is the Attorney General for the state of New York, and she just figured out how to stop crime: Just tell people to stop doing crime!
Gun-free zones in places like Times Square are essential to reducing violence in our communities. No one should be able to bring a weapon into a crowded area, and these new policies will help make our cities safer for everyone.
As we all know, a gun-free zone is the safest place on earth… for criminals. They don’t need to worry about anybody shooting back.
Why stop there, though? If making Times Square a gun-free zone will stop people from bringing in guns, therefore eliminating gun crime, then why not just make the whole city a crime-free zone? Just put up signs everywhere:
CRIMINALS: DO NOT CRIME HERE
Make sure they know they’re not supposed to do it, and they’ll stop.
Duh.
