Paramount: oh no, this is German. It really means “The Trek, The.” Next show is Rom’s Diner, it starts in three months!

Star Trek died for me years an years ago, but I'm old. Old enough to value good story-telling over special effects or "diversity."

When we watched ST then it came out (group of college students" we laughed at the cheesy effects, and sometimes the cheesy acting, but we loved many of the stories. The best stories were usually written by either someone with real SF credential, like Harlan Ellison, or at least someone familiar with the canon and tropes. I really liked Deep Space 9 for the stories and the characters. After that? Meh.

We love free! hahahaha

I hope you had a chance to catch the NIN tour - it was top five performances I have been privy to - all around a great time.

Star Trek did die, though... the last episode of "Enterprise" was 20 years ago, it only got four seasons instead of the 7 that the 80's/90's trek got and the OG series had only 3 seasons. Everything else they made afterwards is just fanfic with a budget.

Even though I am a old milk toast boomer, I have always liked NIN and Rob Zombie. Started with Black Sabbath, and just went on from there. Anyway. Thanks.

I’ll admit I personally like Lower Decks…after the first two episodes, which were garbage (hey, TNG’s first season sucked too). It really felt like a series made by 90s trek nerds with all that entails, both for good and ill.
