Dear Protesters: Your Comrades Don't Care About You

Your ill-informed passion is not a force field

A woman was just shot dead in Minneapolis because she impeded federal officers and then drove into one of them. She was a victim of her own ignorance, moral outrage, and irresponsibility.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen this phenomenon, and unfortunately it won’t be the last. A lot of people want to go viral for standing up to Bad Orange Man. Very few of them think about the consequences. They don’t seem to think at all.

I’m reminded of a kid in California who did something equally stupid back in 2020, except it was the reverse of what just happened in Minnesota. Instead of accelerating at an officer, he thought he could stop a cop car on foot, armed with nothing but the power of self-righteousness.

As you can see, he was very wrong:

It’s a car, dude. You’re not Superman. In any physical contest between a pedestrian and a motor vehicle, the big chunk of rolling metal wins.

I remember some right-wingers laughing at this moron, but I didn’t think it was funny. I know what it’s like to get hit by a vehicle operated by an agent of the government. What happened to me was through no fault of my own, and I’m baffled that anybody would actually volunteer for it.

Again and again, we see these leftist protesters jeopardizing their physical safety for causes they barely seem to understand. They think their ill-informed passion is some sort of force field that will protect them from harm.

But the applause from their ideological allies will fade, long before their wounds heal.

I have no idea what happened to that kid, and frankly, I refuse to find out. He did that to himself, and he can live with his injuries. The world has moved on. Nobody cares about his pain. He’s outlived his usefulness.

Wise up, kids. Your comrades don’t care about you.

Just as I was about to hit Publish, Minnesota-based Alpha News published this video from the perspective of the ICE agent who shot that driver in Minneapolis:

Well, that certainly destroys several of the myths about this incident, huh?

I’d been giving that woman the benefit of the doubt, assuming she panicked.

Nope.

And get a load of the swaggering bravado of her wife, seconds before the disaster of their own making. Lesbians have toxic masculinity too.

Suicide by cop. No martyrs here, libs.

Chaos in Minneapolis. Tehran on fire yet again. Whatever the hell is happening in Venezuela right now.

My brain hurts. Let’s talk about silly TV shows!
