Darrell Brooks Murdered Six People, Including a Child
"The vehicle appeared to be intentionally moving side to side"
I’m putting that in a headline because somebody needs to.
The death toll of mass murderer Darrell Brooks has now gone up by one. His latest victim was an eight-year-old child.
That little boy’s name was Jackson Sparks. He was marching in the Waukesha, WI Christmas parade with his baseball team when Darrell Brooks murdered him.
I don’t find that “heartbreaking.” It’s not a “tragedy.” It’s enraging. It’s an act of evil. It’s an atrocity.
What did Jackson Sparks ever do to anybody? He was just a little kid, marching in a parade with his friends. He wasn’t hurting anyone. He wasn’t threatening anyone. Then a monster murdered him.
I’ve listened for months as lunatics like Joy Reid screamed that Kyle Rittenhouse was a “white supremacist” for shooting three white men who were attacking him. And now: crickets. A BLM supporter just mowed down a bunch of white people at a parade and killed six, including a little boy, and our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters are doing everything they can to minimize it.
They can’t pretend it didn’t happen, so they’re dancing around the facts. It was a “parade crash”:
Or a “deadly Christmas parade”:
Or even an “accident”:
Calling this a “parade crash” is like calling 9/11 a “plane crash.” No. It was not an accident or a mishap or an act of God. The man deliberately drove through a crowd of people.
At least NPR(!) is calling it what it is:
They call it both an “incident” and an “attack,” but I’m feeling generous so I’ll accept the latter. We’re at the point where a national news organization manages to get a basic fact right and it feels like a triumph. That’s how far the media has fallen.
Their cautiousness in these matters is entirely dependent on the identity of the accused:
“It’s different when my team does it.” That’s all this is.
Stephen “Not the Trump Guy” Miller makes another good point:
Can you imagine the uproar if the murder of Heather Heyer had been described as a “crash”? Brian Stelter’s head would explode like somebody put it in the microwave without poking holes in it with a fork.
