If Trump had been reelected, right now they’d be blaming him. (Some of them probably are anyway.) But a Democrat is in the White House, so the blame must fall on the first available Republican.
Look, it’s a hurricane. It’s an act of God. You can’t stop it — sorry, global warming freaks, but you can’t — and you can’t always predict where it’s going to go. All you can do is hunker down or get out of the way, and then try to rebuild. That’s true whether a politician you don’t like has an (R) or a (D) after his name.
