Remember Chris Cuomo? He’s the younger brother of disgraced ex-NY Governor Andrew Cuomo, and he got fired from his primetime CNN show for being even more corrupt and unethical than anybody else at CNN.
It’s now open season on poor Chris, which is why even the New York Times is going after him:
If you don’t want to give the NYT a click or even read a short Twitter thread from an NYT reporter, here’s the short version:
A lawyer named Debra S. Katz came forward to claim that Chris Cuomo sexually harassed her client years ago when she was a temp at ABC, and she knew she had to say something after Andrew Cuomo went on his brother’s show to deny the allegations women have made against him. For Katz’s client, the last straw was when Andrew looked into the camera and said: “I have always cared very deeply about these issues and profoundly so.” As we all know now, that wasn’t true. The allegations against Andrew were very much like what Cuomo did to Katz’s client — allegedly! — so that’s when she knew she had to step forward. Chris Cuomo was fired, and now it’s a whole big thing, even taking down CNN president Jeff Zucker himself.
Coincidentally, now this is happening:
Allison Gollust was Zucker’s second-in-command, who also happened to be sleeping with him. She’s implicated in Zucker’s unethical dealings with Andrew Cuomo — allegedly! — but she managed to keep her job until yesterday. And she ain’t happy:
I get the feeling this won’t be the last we hear from Allison Gollust.
It all gets tangled and confusing because these people are remorseless sociopaths who have done a lot of unethical things, but here’s the gist of it: Some bad people finally got what was coming to them, and now they’re itching for revenge against the company that turned against them, which is also filled with bad people. So no matter what happens next, bad people will suffer for it. The only winners in this situation are those of us who watched helplessly as CNN was turned into a factory producing nothing but spite and lies. Now they’re getting their comeuppance, and it is glorious.
