Chris Cuomo once threatened to throw somebody down a flight of stairs for calling him “Fredo.” Did anybody really think he was just going to walk away after CNN fired him? The rules have never applied to him before, so why would he accept it now?
Cuomo knows a lot of stuff that can embarrass a lot of people. One of those people is the man who hired and fired him.
In a new statement, a spokesman for the fallen TV star threw his longtime ally CNN President Jeff Zucker under the bus, while insisting the journalist “has the highest level of admiration and respect” for him.
“They were widely known to be extremely close and in regular contact, including about the details of Mr. Cuomo’s support for his brother,” the spokesman told the Wall Street Journal Sunday...
“There were no secrets about this, as other individuals besides Mr. Cuomo can attest,” the spokesman added.
If Cuomo can prove Zucker knew about all of it all along, which I assume is true, that is going to be DEE-LISH. Everything that’s wrong with CNN today can be traced back to that one man.
Reportedly, Cuomo is preparing to sue CNN for $18 million, covering the three years left in his contract. Which is hilarious. CNN actually thought that mook was worth $6 mil a year!
I find myself in the unusual position of rooting for Chris Cuomo as he tries to bring down CNN. If there’s a way they can both lose, that would be optimal.
Cuomo is also out at SiriusXM. “Let’s Get After It” now refers to his pink slip.
