Whenever I criticize Joe Biden for screwing up, which has only been every day of his presidency so far — one year today! — libs remind me that his predecessor was the worst president in the history of the United States. That guy is the worst human being who has ever lived. He’s Hitler x 9/11 + AIDS. The Devil himself. Sure, Biden ruins everything he touches, but at least he’s not that guy.
Now, not all their criticisms of Biden’s pumpkin-painted predecessor are without merit. For example, it wasn’t good when the Bad Orange Man said the 2020 election was stolen. That caused a bit of bother 54 weeks ago today. The Democrats have capitalized upon it diligently, and that’s fair enough. If your opponents riot in the Capitol Building, you get to use it for propaganda purposes. You’d be stupid not to.
What’s not fair enough is pretending it’s fine when the leader of their party says the exact same thing as their most hated enemy. And President Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. is acting preemptively. He isn’t even waiting for the next election before he claims it’s illegitimate.
President on Wednesday said the legitimacy of the upcoming midterm elections could depend on Democrats passing voting rights legislation.
“I’m not saying it’s going to be legit. The increase in the prospect of being illegitimate is in direct proportion to us not being able to get these reforms passed,” Biden said during his second solo press conference at the White House, referring to the 2022 election…
“Well, it all depends on whether or not we’re able to make the case to the American people that some of this is being set up to try to alter the outcome of the election,” he said.
Insurrection! Sedition! The republic is at stake! Etc.
