In hindsight, maybe Joe Biden’s attempt at a wrestling promo was a mistake.

Tough guy, huh? How’d that work out for him?

That was back in May. And of course, the party faithful cheered him on. “Go, Dark Brandon!” They couldn’t wait for their mighty champion to mop up the floor with the hated Orange One, because cognitive bias is a bitch.

But anybody who wasn’t personally or professionally invested in the Democratic Party noticed how weird this clip was. There are five cuts in 14 seconds! Biden was challenging Trump to two (2) debates, yet he obviously couldn’t speak clearly for more than a few seconds at a time. Even when everything was written down for him. His staffers had to do multiple takes just to get a few seconds of usable footage.

How did they expect him to endure a 90-minute debate on live TV, let alone two?

What did they think was gonna happen?
