Biden Just Stranded Hundreds of Americans at the Mercy of the Taliban

So that’s it. We’re out of Afghanistan. The goddamn Taliban are back in charge, 20 years after 9/11, and Joe Biden has left hundreds of Americans at their mercy. Do you feel like celebrating yet?

If Biden wanted to remind Americans that we were still in Afghanistan after two decades, boy, did he deliver. Nobody’s confused about that now. Biden just ripped off the Band-Aid, and lots of Americans have bled for it.

The whole thing just makes me depressed and angry. It’s bad enough to watch American servicemen die, but this feels like they were sacrificed for one old man’s whim. They didn’t die fighting terrorism. They died because they were ordered not to fight terrorism.

Biden is putting our people in a box and leaving them vulnerable to predators. His ostensible aim is to stop death and destruction, yet for the last few weeks that’s all we’ve seen.
