Joe Biden only ever tells the truth by accident. Occasionally, in the midst of his interminable, disjointed rambling, he stumbles on an utterance that actually reflects consensus reality. Then his staff needs to scramble to “clarify,” or deny that he meant what he very clearly said. Every time he forgets to lie about something he was supposed to lie about, they have to reset the timeline to preserve the narrative.
I assume that’s what will happen with this one:
“The pandemic is over. We still have a problem with COVID. We’re still doing a lot of work on it. But the pandemic is over. If you notice, no one’s wearing masks. Everybody seems to be in pretty good shape.”
This reality is so self-evidently true that even Joe Biden can’t deny it.
This creates at least one problem for the White House, though:
Yeah, he’s justifying that unconstitutional cash-grab as an emergency provision. Which is bull$#!+, but that’s the argument. Then he forgot all about it when he went on national TV and said, in no uncertain terms, that the emergency has passed.
That’s the problem with a lifelong liar sliding into dementia. Now he can’t remember what he’s supposed to lie about, or why.
There were several other gems from that interview. Here’s another one:
Remember what I said earlier about preserving the narrative?
This is why Biden doesn’t give many interviews. Every time he speaks into a microphone is worse than the last. He’s writing the Republicans’ ads for them:
As Biden told us, the proof is in the pudding. Unfortunately for America, that pudding is between his ears.
